Siri Pengetahuan 1.

Kutipan dari Hawaii Ham Radio Information:

Simplex Net Operation Procedures
Basic Concepts, Net Control Station:

1. A Net Control Station coordinates the resources checked into the net. As much as possible he should not handle traffic himself or become a destination for traffic, except traffic directly relating to net operations in his area. He may observe something that requires him to generate traffic such as weather observations, vehicle traffic conditions etc., but that is not his primary purpose as Net Control.

2. Traffic should be coordinated between the originating station requesting a circuit, and the most appropriate receiving station known to the Net Control Station, on his net or other nets within range.
Basic Protocol, Net Control Station:

1. Keep accurate, up to the minute accounting of your resources as Net Control Station so you know what services your net can provide, and just as important, which services it cannot, so those requesting the service can rapidly seek other methods of moving the message traffic.

2. Manage the resources. Focus on connecting stations with traffic with stations that can move the traffic along towards its destination either by being in direct contact with the addressee, or being able to transmit it on another circuit that will move it usefully towards the addressee. Do not simply pass traffic around.

3. Move station pairs about to pass traffic off frequency to an adjacent simplex frequency if possible to keep the primary net frequency clear for net management. Each Net Control Station should have two or more adjacent traffic handling frequencies in addition to the main net control frequency.

4. At intervals, call roll on your net to keep your accounting of resources updated. If a circuit is needed to a specific destination, see if someone checked into the net can relocate to that destination and begin accepting the traffic addressed there.
Basic Concepts, Participating Stations:

1. Check into a net for the purpose of originating, relaying or accepting for delivery, message traffic. Be prepared with standard forms and materials. Know the limitations and capabilities of your specific station. If possible be prepared to be dispatched to a destination which needs to originate and accept traffic from the network.

2. You will probably be asked to move to an adjacent frequency for actual passing of traffic.
Basic Protocol, Participating Stations:

1. Once you check into a net, you are a net resource noted by the Net Control Station, unless forced off the air abruptly due to a crisis or equipment failure, do not leave the net without contacting the Net Control Station and checking out so he can remove you from his resource list. If you are in a precarious site, or operating on limited reserves and may be forced to relocate abruptly or are in danger of suffering equipment failure, alert the Net Control Station of your compromised reliability.

2. If you have liaison with a specific organization or location and can accept traffic addressed to them, make this known to the Net Control Station when you check in. If you are monitoring or can check into other nets on other frequencies to pass traffic, make this known also to the Net Control Station. If you can relocate to a traffic destination such as a shelter or Red Cross unit, let the Net Control Station know this as well.

3. If you are moved off frequency to contact a station to pass traffic, change quickly to that frequency and establish contact. If you cannot establish contact, return to the main net frequency and report the failure. If you successfully pass the traffic, return to the primary net frequency and report your return and the successful delivery or acceptance of the traffic. You must keep the Net Control Station informed of your availability and success in your assigned tasks.
